The Solids Collection is about building a foundation in your home decor through sustainable and timeless staples. With that we are reminded of the importance of our mission to support refugee women as they rebuild the foundation that defines their new home in the US. Our newest partner, Re:new Project, does just that by providing dignified work and a sense of community to the refugee women they employ. We knew after our first visit to Re:new's studio that they were the perfect partner to sew this collection.

Re:new Project is a nonprofit organization that serves refugee women resettled in the Chicagoland area. They offer free sewing and ESL classes in their Glen Ellyn, IL studio and graduates of these programs can gain employment to create and sew beautiful handmade goods. There they sew gorgeous bags, pouches and fashion accessories directly through the storefront located in the front of the studio. It was evident from the moment we stepped into the studio and met these women that this was a positive space where hard work took place but also joy and bonding.
