The Best Gifts Come in Small Business Packages

The Best Gifts Come in Small Business Packages

We just love this time of year! It fills us with so much joy and we have a passion for coming up with creative ideas to gift our family and friends.  As we round out our shopping, we are continuing our commitment to support other small businesses during the holiday season.
With the hustle and busyness of the holidays, we know it can be super convenient to rely on the ease of big retailer shopping.  We've curated this gift guide because we believe in the power of our purchases and their positive effect on local communities. We've rounded up a list of beautiful Everand gifts paired with goodies from some of our favorite, local small businesses. Don’t live in the Chicago area?  Visit the local stores in your city or shop online at some of these!

Everand Textile Coaster Set + A Favorite Beverage

  • Wine is always a go-to gift for a hostess, boss, or even a new friend and we love the curated wines we buy when shopping at Vinnissimo. Say hi to Guy, who always has the best recommendations! And pairing with a set of Everand coasters is an easy way to add a more personal touch that really delivers some good cheers!
  • If coffee is more your thing then head into Backlot Coffee for some locally roasted beans and a super cool reusable cup to gift with the Everand 4pc Coaster Set. The positive vibe of this place often feels like the soul of the neighborhood, plus wonderful coffee and delicious food to match.

Everand Boxy Bag + A Sweet Treat

  • If you’ve got a friend curious about all the wellness benefits of CBD, pack our Everand Boxy Bag with some of the great CBD treats available at Botanica.  They carry gummies, artisanal chocolates, mints, or tea infused with CBD.  There are so many incredible choices that make this gift perfect for the person that wants to do good and feel good!
  • Nostalgic for handmade candy?  All of Nikki Darling Confections are handmade and hand-wrapped in Chicago.  Our favorite is the Dulce de Leche caramels - rich in flavor it’s hard to have just one.  Fill our Boxy Bag for that friend with a sweet tooth.

Everand Plant Pouch + A Touch of Nature

  • Dried flowers are having a major moment and the long lasting blooms from Evanston Lands are artistically designed to impress while using locally grown and foraged materials.  Add a bundle to one of our Plant Pouches and you are sure to gift good!
  • Looking for something green? Plant Shop Evanston is a small nursery in the heart of Evanston; specializing in tropicals, succulents, cacti and houseplants of all kinds.  Stop in and find the perfect greenery to add to an Everand Plant

Everand Pot Holder Set + Some Home Cooking

  • Nothing bonds a group more than a shared meal and the kitchen is the perfect place to give a gift that is both functional (without sacrificing style!) and makes a positive impact.  Pair a set of our Pot Holders with our new favorite cookbook we purchased at Bookends & Beginnings.  The cookbook features over 100 receipts from inspiring women and gives us an inside look into the day-to-day lives of women in war-torn countries.  The profits from this book benefit Women for Women International and there is a beautifully written forward by Meryl Streep.
  • We love a great gourmet food shop for the curated selection of foods it offers that you wouldn’t otherwise find at the store.  Our local favorite Food Stuffs has a range of giftable foodie goodies - we picked this Chocolate Chip Cookie mix with our 2pc Pot Holder Set because let’s be honest, who doesn’t love a soft, warm cookie right out of the oven!

Everand Sherpa + Cozy Comforts

With countless places to buy your gifts, we strongly encourage you to shop small and bring more of your holiday shopping to small businesses.  Your choices will help local communities thrive and while investing in the lives of others.  We believe that is something we can all feel good about.

Wishing you all the best during this beautiful season!
